How does astrology compatibility work?

The logical categorisation of personality traits used in astrology provides an easy to use framework to identify, measure and predict the ideal match.

Astrology categorises all human traits into various groups. As a result of the logical and consistent way that traits are grouped there are intervals between certain groups which are
more compatible than others. Mathematically, astrology compatibility works in a very similar way as to music theory, where some combinations of notes are more harmonious than with others.
The origins of astrological compatibility
Why are there 12 zodiac signs exactly? Well, this is all down to the mathematical properties of
the number 12 which makes it ideal for any science involving pattern recognition. It's the
smallest number with five factors (1, 2, 3, 4, 6). This is why it's no coincidence that there
are 12 zodiac signs. The science of astrology defined the number of Sun Signs; and not the
other way round. There are, of course, far more constellations in the night sky than just the 12

Where do the concepts of the houses, elements, polarity and many more that are used in
astrology come from? Astrology allocates distinctive labels to groups with common
features. There are four elements (fire, water, air, earth), each element is linked to certain
traits found within a group of Star signs. Each element represents three Sun Signs, the
Fire Signs are Aries, Leo and Sagittarius, the Water Signs are Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces,
the Earth Signs are Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn and finally the Air Signs are Gemini,
Libra and Aquarius The labelling system used is thousands of years old and gives the field
its new age image. These labels are in fact merely an intuitive memory aid. Behind them is
an in depth science based on patterns and extrapolation using a duodecimal (base 12)
system.
It is of course entirely possible to learn about astrology without a knowledge of the
mathematics behind it, and there is far more to astrology than just these patterns.
Nevertheless, it wouldn't be wrong to state that the earliest astrologers were mathematicians
at heart, and not mystics.

Do you need precise birth times or locations?
Ideally they should be as accurate as possible, but I can work with the best
information you have. If the birth time is unknown then the common approach is to use 6.00
am as a basis for the Natal Chart.
